Since its inception in 1939, Saru Copper has carried forward a proud legacy of innovation and resilience in India’s non-ferrous metal industry. Our roots go even deeper—to the early 1900s—when our founding family entered the metal trade through Jugmandar Dass Shital Prasad, pioneering the distribution and import of metals across Northern India.
During World War II, faced with import restrictions, we boldly entered manufacturing under the name Saru Smelting & Refining Corporation, setting up plants in Meerut and Calcutta. Overcoming challenges such as limited machinery, raw material shortages, and almost no trained manpower, SARU emerged as one of the first Indian businesses to manufacture non-ferrous alloys, supplying critical materials to the defence sector and other vital industries.
The name SARU itself stands for Standard Alloys Reliable and Unequalled , a reflection of our founding philosophy: delivering quality under all circumstances.

Saru Copper, established in 1988 as a division of the legendary House of Saru, is today a leading manufacturer and exporter of continuous cast and cold-drawn copper alloy rods, bars, flats, and hollows. We specialize in: Phosphor Bronzes such as Tin Bronzes (CuSn10, CuSn12), Gun Metal (RG5, RG7) and Aluminium Bronze (CW307G, CA104, AMS 4625, C954, C955).
Our products are known for their high strength, machinability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, serving demanding industries such as aerospace, defence, mining, oil & gas, marine, and automotive.

Our manufacturing plant is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, spread over 2,500 square yards, with an installed production capacity of 100 metric tons per month.
